AI Platform & Site Reliability Engineering Consultant
The opportunity
We are developing Team Inspire capability for consultants who can help organisations build cloud operating models that are resilient, secure, automated and ready for AI-enabled service delivery.
This work sits across IT service management, cloud platforms, DevOps, platform engineering, observability and applied AI. You may contribute as an individual specialist, lead a focused operating-model or engineering workstream, or work as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team.
What you will do
• Assess operational and service-management challenges and turn them into practical, outcome-led improvement priorities. • Design future-state cloud operating models, service-management processes, governance and delivery approaches. • Apply ITIL practices across incident, change, problem management and service-desk operations, including automation and AI-enabled tooling. • Design or improve cloud-platform, reliability, observability, AIOps and automated-triage capabilities. • Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, release controls and engineering quality gates. • Work across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud services including compute, storage, networking, security and operational controls. • Connect GenAI and agentic-AI patterns to safe, evidence-led IT operations and service-delivery workflows. • Design human oversight, permissions, escalation, exception handling, security controls and auditability from the outset. • Communicate practical technical and operating-model choices to senior, operational and engineering stakeholders.
Essential evidence
• Strong practical experience in ITIL-led service operations, cloud operating models, site reliability engineering, DevOps or platform engineering. • Evidence of cloud delivery on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code and modern engineering delivery pipelines. • Evidence of using or assessing GenAI, AIOps, intelligent automation or agentic-AI patterns in an operational context. • The judgement to connect technology choices to service quality, resilience, security, risk and measurable outcomes. • Client-facing consulting or delivery experience in complex enterprise environments.
Useful additional experience
• ITIL Foundation or higher certification. • Service analytics, intelligent monitoring, automated triage, operational resilience or cloud-security controls. • AI governance, data quality, agile delivery, organisational design, proposal shaping or team leadership. • Public-sector, regulated, systems-integrator or large-enterprise delivery.

This is a UK capability-building opportunity for future contract, interim and consultancy assignments. It is not confirmation of a specific assignment.
